4/6/2023 0 Comments Tool box for dodge ram 2500![]() Not sure how much weight it can hold if not touching the bed of the truck. So why not make the top longer.ĭepending on your truck, and what you put in the thing, you may consider mounting it higher, so if you have a couple of pieces of plywood in there you could still swing it open above the plywood. You're only going to swing one open at a time. Then maybe it would give you more area for wrenches and such. If they can do it where it would support the weight of lets say a socket set. I guess the only improvement I could suggest is to make them longer to extend over the wheel well. Too deep to be digging thru to find your tools. So one unit is probably all I will ever get. It does take away space I normally would use to strap down my small tool box. First off they are very expensive for what it really gets you. Not sure if I will go for another one on the other side. I also used a Dewalt Impact driver to set the screws. I also have a full size cap on, so putting in a box across the bed behind the back window is out of the question.Įxtremely easy to mount, just drill a couple of starter holes before you dry to drive the screws in. It's better than a box that slides around. I use the SC300D to store some oil and other fluids, along with my tow strap and a couple of tools in the tray. I have a 2006 Dodge 2500 Megacab, and the space behind the back seat is full, as is under the seat. So it's not all that much extra storage, but the cool thing is it swings in and out and keeps the smaller items from rolling around. ![]() When you're looking for a 'little' more storage
